The Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge is one of the world’s finest choirs, one that operates in an atmosphere and expectation of excellence, neither knowing nor inhabiting a world of the middling or mediocre either in performances or recordings.
Choral Scholarships at Trinity College combine the singing of weekly services in the Chapel with an exciting schedule of recordings, concerts and international tours outside term. The primary duty of a Choral Scholar during term is to sing at the three services of Choral Evensong that take place each week, together with occasional special services.
Helen Morton. Treasurer. Helen Morton has had a varied career working as a civil engineer, in the oil industry and in management roles for charities, including VSO, MSI and Trinity Hospice. In 2000, she became the Treasurer (Finance & Estates Bursar) at Somerville College and left in 2012 to concentrate on her musical and outside interests.
Layton has held the Trinity post since 2006 but I believe he has decided now is the time to move on and concentrate on other conducting commitments. Part of the legacy he will leave is an extensive series of Hyperion recordings with the Trinity choir, of which this is the latest; its release coincides with him leaving the college.

David Swinson was Head Chorister at Magdalen College, Oxford, before studying piano and organ at The Royal College of Music and then Music as Organ Scholar at Jesus College, Cambridge.
