Clementina Walkinshaw. Charlotte Stuart, styled Duchess of Albany [1] (29 October 1753 – 17 November 1789) was the illegitimate daughter of the Jacobite pretender Prince Charles Edward Stuart ("Bonnie Prince Charlie" or the "Young Pretender") and his only child to survive infancy. [2]
29 de oct. de 2021 · Clementina Walkinshaw lived a long life and it appears her granddaughter started a Polish line of descent, but the mystery of the ‘Finsthwaite Princess’ will forever remain, as no documents exist to prove who she was.
Apart from their acknowledged daughter, Charlotte, Clementina and Prince Charles had a son who died in infancy. There was speculation that another daughter was born to the couple but there is no corroboration to substantiate the birth. Little is known of Clementina Walkinshaw between 1746 & 1752. [10]

Sir Hugh’s niece Clementina Walkinshaw nursed the Prince when he fell ill during his time there. It was from here that the Prince departed on his fateful journey north to Culloden. Clementina later joined him abroad and became the mother of his only acknowledged child Charlotte Duchess of Albany born 1753.
