Biography. John Patrick Bowes-Lyon was born in 1910 in Westminster, London, England (United Kingdom). [1] He bore the title of Master of Glamis. He never married and was killed in action on 19 September 1941 during World War II, in the Halfaya Pass, Egypt. He is buried in the Halfaya Sallum War Cemetery, As Sallum, Matruh, Egypt.
