Adolph Schwarzenberg (1890 - 1950) was a descendent of the Hluboka branch of the aristocratic Schwarzenberg family. His family mainly owned property in South Bohemia and contributed for hundreds of years to the general cultural and economic development of the region.
Adolph Schwarzenberg (18 August 1890 – 27 February 1950) was a notable landowner, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He was the eldest son of Johann (Czech: Jan) and Therese Schwarzenberg, née Trauttmansdorff-Weinsberg. An outspoken opponent of the Nazi regime, his properties were seized by the German Reich and by Third Czechoslovak Republic shortly before the Communist coup of 1948.

1 de mar. de 2015 · Adolph Schwarzenberg was of German descent but was a Czech patriot and an outspoken opponent of the Nazis. When Austria was annexed in 1938, he flew black flags on his palace in Vienna.
Initially, the property of Dr Adolph Schwarzenberg-Hluboká, was seized by the Gestapo in 1940 due to his pro-Czech attitude and continuous and outspoken resistance to the Nazi regime. Already in 1937 Adolph Schwarzenberg-Hluboká had donated 1.000.000 crowns to President Benes for the fortification of the Czechoslovak boarder with Germany.
