Maximilien-Francois-Marie-Isidore de Robespierre, que llegó a ser conocido entre sus comteporáneos como el Incorruptible, nació en Arras el 6 de mayo de 1758 siendo hijo de un abogado que a la muerte de su esposa abandonó el hogar.
