Rizzati and Blonksteiner’s work on The House by the Cemetery is as different as the film is from the previous two Gates of Hell films. Those movies are epic, digging into the likes of H.P. Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith, with the final installment of the trilogy going for more of a Henry James feel.
