The Deele are best-known as the group that brought Babyface (b. Kenny Edmonds) and L.A. Reid (b. Mark Rooney) to prominence. Formed in Cincinnati, Ohio, Bobby G. Summers and L.A. Reid formed the Deele in the early '80s with lead vocalist Carlos "Satin" Greene, Darnell "Dee" Bristol, Stanley Burke, and Kevin Roberson.

Forming in 1981, The Deele recorded three albums during the 1980s, and scored two hit singles, "Shoot 'Em Up Movies" and "Two Occasions". L.A. & Babyface left the group after the release of their third album "Eyes Of A Stranger" (1988), and went on to become very successful producers for a variety of artists.
