Henry Carey, 1. Baron Hunsdon von Steven van Harwijck. Henry Carey, 1. Baron Hunsdon KG (* 4. März 1526; † 23. Juli 1596) war ein englischer Adliger und ein Cousin der englischen Königin Elisabeth I. Henry Carey was an English poet, dramatist, and composer. He is best remembered today for his satirical ballad opera "The Dragon of Wantley", and for writing the words to the popular patriotic anthem "God Save the King."
