George III (né George William Frederick ; Londres, 4 juin 1738 [note 2] – 29 janvier 1820, château de Windsor) est roi de Grande-Bretagne et roi d'Irlande à partir du 25 octobre 1760 jusqu'à l'union des deux pays le 1 er janvier 1801 (la Grande-Bretagne est créée par l'union de 1707) ; il devient alors roi du Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande.
