The Lower Saxon Landtag (Niedersächsischer Landtag) or the Parliament of Lower Saxony is the state diet of the German state of Lower Saxony. It convenes in Hanover and currently consists of 146 members, consisting of four parties. Since 2022 the majority is a coalition of the Social Democratic Party and the Greens, supporting the cabinet of Minister-President Stephan Weil (SPD).
Michael Auditor (18 December 1942 – 12 August 2023) was a German politician. A member of the Social Democratic Party, he served in the Landtag of Lower Saxony from 1978 to 1994. [1] Auditor died on 12 August 2023, at the age of 80. [2]

Originally it was called the Ständeversammlung and was divided into an upper house, the Kammer der Reichsräte (House of Councillors), and a lower house, the Kammer der Abgeordneten [] (House of Representatives).
