19 de abr. de 2018 · Leopold IV Friedrich, Duke of Anhalt, died in Dessau, Duchy of Anhalt, now in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, on May 22, 1871, and was buried in the Marienkirche (link in German) in Dessau. When the church was destroyed by bombing during World War II, the Duke’s remains were moved to the Berenhorst crypt in the Historical Cemetery in Dessau.
El duque Federico I de Anhalt. Federico nació en Dessau en 1831 como tercer hijo y único varón del duque Leopoldo IV de Anhalt-Dessau y de su esposa, Federica Guillermina de Prusia, la hija del príncipe Luis Carlos de Prusia. Leopold IV was the second son of Duke Leopold III, the founder of the Leopoldine branch of the House of Habsburg, and his wife Viridis from the Visconti dynasty of Lombardy.
