On the Fly. (2007) On the Fly is the ninth album (eighth studio) by the Irish folk band Patrick Street, released in 2007 on Loftus Music. [1] The regular band members ( Andy Irvine, Kevin Burke, Jackie Daly, Ged Foley) were joined by new member John Carty (fiddle, flute, banjo), and by guest musician Brendan Hearty (harmonium).

History. Originally recorded as St Patrick's Street from 1285, the thoroughfare was named for St Patrick's Church, which was later replaced with St Patrick's Cathedral. [2] [3] In 1803, in the run-up to Robert Emmet's rebellion, the victims of a powerful explosion at his ammunition depot in Patrick Street were brought to Dr Steevens' Hospital.
