    This year Western Heights High School has students learning with different providers across the Bay of Plenty, from Toi Ohomai, Hair to Train and ETCO here in Rotorua; to YooBee Colleges, and EmployNZ in Tauranga. Students travelling to Tauranga leave WHHS at 7.30am and arrive back at 4pm and attendance at Trades has been excellent this term.

    From 10 - 14 March, a group of intrepid students from Western Heights High School embarked on a remarkable journey to Great Barrier Island. Flying 30 minutes off the New Zealand mainland in two teeny tiny 'Great Barrier Air' planes, they carried their 12+ kg packs and all supplies for a challenging three day hike spanning over 30 km.
