  1. 6 de abr. de 2015 · I've only given this issue 4 stars as the final track on CD2 "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" should be 1:12 but is only 5 seconds long! I suspect that this is a manufacturing fault but buyers should be made aware of this. Excellent otherwise, and fortunately this is only a bonus track and not from one of the Treasury Shows.

Contracted by the U.S. Treasury Dept. in 1945, Duke Ellington And His Orchestra performed a series of public service radio broadcasts to arouse patriotism and sell war bonds to help the U.S. military defeat the Japanese to end World War II.

  7. 11 de jun. de 2018 · This is "Duet," featuring Jimmy Hamilton on clarinet and Wendell Marshall on bass. Marshall played with the Ellington band from 1948 to 1955. He was a great, if unheralded, musician who went on to play with just about every major jazz name in the book, most notably as part of a trio led by pianist Hank Jones and featuring the great Kenny "Klook" Clarke on drums.
