  1. Duke Ulrich of Württemberg (8 February 1487 – 6 November 1550) succeeded his kinsman Eberhard II as Duke of Württemberg in 1498. He was declared of age in 1503. His volatile personality made him infamous, being called the "Swabian Henry VIII " by historians.

  2. In 1489 his right of succession, previously over the whole of Württemberg, was even limited by Eberhard V to Württemberg-Stuttgart only. However, after the death of Eberhard, who had assumed the title of Duke Eberhard I in 1495, he achieved sovereignty over the whole of rule in all of Württemberg as Duke Eberhard II.

Their eldest son, Duke Friedrich of Württemberg, had been due to succeed his father as head of the family, however he tragically died in a car crash in 2018.
