Featuring some legendary players - Jelly Roll Morton and Willie "The Lion" Smith on piano, Henry Red allen and Charlie Shavers on trumpet and Bechet himself on a collection of instruments, most notably of course, clarinet and saxophone.

An exotic, Middle Eastern vibe is created by Bechet's clarinet and Heard's drums, before Higginbotham's trombone and Sidney's clarinet deliver some fine interplay, Red Allen's trumpet cutting through to also make its presence felt, but Bechet's clarinet is the highlight even amongst such exceptionally talented musicians.
