2nd Earl of Worcester 4th Baron Herbert Eldest son and heir of Charles Somerset, 1st Earl of Worcester, and Lady Elizabeth Herbert, 3rd Baroness Herbert. Paternal grandson of Henry Beaufort, 3rd Duke of Somerset, and Joan Hill.
By that union, Elizabeth was aunt to Lady Anne Brandon, and her younger sister, Lady Mary Brandon. [citation needed] She was the second wife of Henry Somerset, 2nd earl of Worcester, the son of Charles Somerset, 1st Earl of Worcester, and Elizabeth Somerset, Baroness Herbert. [4] Henry's first wife, Lady Margaret, had died without issue. [5]
Around 1496 Henry Somerset 2nd Earl of Worcester was born to Charles Somerset 1st Earl of Worcester (age 36) and Elizabeth Herbert 3rd Baroness Herbert Raglan (age 20). In Aug 1507 [his mother] Elizabeth Herbert 3rd Baroness Herbert Raglan (age 31) died. She was buried at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle [Map].
Henry Somerset, 2nd Earl of Worcester (see here), born c.1496. He mar 2ndly, pre-1527, to Elizabeth Browne [descendant of Edward III]. He died 1549, age c.53 yrs. He was bur St Mary's Church, Chepstow, Wales. Elizabeth died 1565. She was bur at Chepstow with husband. 2nd Earl had issue by 2nd wife: Sir Charles Somerset, born 1535.
