William Stanhope, 2nd Earl of Harrington was born on 18 December 1719.1 He was the son of William Stanhope, 1st Earl of Harrington and Anne Griffith.1 He married Lady Caroline Fitzroy, daughter of Charles Fitzroy, 2nd Duke of Grafton and Lady Henrietta Somerset, on 11 August 1746.1 He died on 1 April 1779 at age 59.
