When Maria Magdalena Wettin Dutchess von Sachsen was born on 7 March 1507, in Dresden, Saxony, Germany, her father, Georg der Bärtige von Wettin, was 35 and her mother, Barbara Jagiellon, was 28. She married Joachim II Hector von Hohenzollern, Elector of Brandenburg Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg on 6 November 1524, in Dresden, Kreis Dresden, Saxony, Germany.
