A Habsburg place of remembrance. Königsfelden Abbey was founded in 1308 by the royal dowager Elisabeth of Gorizia-Tyrol, on the site where her husband, King Albrecht I of Habsburg, was murdered. The Abbey became a place of remembrance for the king and all deceased Habsburgs. The double abbey with Franciscans and Poor Clares existed until 1529.
Königsfelden est un lieu-dit situé à Windisch dans le canton suisse d' Argovie où les Habsbourg fondent en 1310 un monastère de clarisses et un couvent de franciscains. Les lieux sont sécularisés en 1528 après la Réforme. Ils servent ensuite aux gouverneurs de Berne et, depuis 1868, abritent une clinique psychiatrique.
