17 de mar. de 2021 · His claim to fame is being the first English person to fly a hot air balloon. On 4 th October 1784, Sadler’s balloon rose into the air from Christ Church Meadow. Sadler reached the heady (and chilly!) heights of around 3600 feet. He drifted the 6 miles or so to Woodeaton before landing safely.
