John Candy (October 31, 1950 – March 4, 1994) was a Canadian actor who portrayed Barf in Spaceballs. Candy was best known for his roles in comedy films, having additionally appeared in films such as Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987), Uncle Buck (1989), and Home Alone (1990).
