  7. Maiwa's Revenge was published in 1888, well over one hundred years ago. The world of 1888 was very different from the world of 2022. That may sound pedantic, but I have seen a few rather irksome reviews where people are dismissive of the content, and have chosen to get offended by either the antiquated language, the misogynistic themes, and the cavalier hunting practices.
