St. Mary's Town and Country School was an independent, non-denominational, co-educational progressive day and boarding school, founded in Belsize Park, London in 1937. It closed at the end of 1982.
Despite its name - the "Town & Country" portion was a post-war addition - St. Mary's School was an independent (private) non-denominational co-educational school. To many of us former pupils, however, it was much more than this - it was a remarkable and unique learning experience.
