Afterglow is the third box set compilation by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). It was released in 1990 with liner notes by music critic and editor Ira Robbins of Trouser Press . A different two-CD compilation with identical artwork was issued simultaneously under the title The Very Best of The Electric Light Orchestra .

Their music is characterised by a fusion of pop and classical arrangements with futuristic iconography. [3]
Apparently even Jeff Lynne has realized which of his albums has aged well and which haven't. The third disc (disc "O") contains material from 1979-1986 covering the albums Discovery, Time, Secret Messages, and Balance of Power.

1 de oct. de 2019 · It lasts almost 8 minutes, pays obvious tribute to the Beatles classic "I Am the Walrus", and despite some very typical 1983 pop synths, it seems to be the last true PROG song Electric Light Orchestra or Jeff Lynne ever recorded.
