Sir Charles Galton Darwin KBE MC FRS (19 December 1887 – 31 December 1962) was an English physicist who served as director of the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) during the Second World War. He was a son of the mathematician George Howard Darwin and a grandson of Charles Darwin.

Charles was a grandson of Charles Robert Darwin the author of On the origin of the species and the godson of Francis Galton. He attended Marlborough College, Wiltshire, England from 1901 to 1906 when he entered Trinity College, Cambridge. He was Fourth Wrangler in the Mathematical Tripos of 1909.
