Faust (Russian: Фауст) is a 2011 Russian film directed by Alexander Sokurov. Set in the 19th century, it is a free interpretation of the Faust legend and its respective literary adaptations by both Johann Wolfgang von Goethe as well as Thomas Mann. The dialogue is in German.

Fausto es una película rusa de 2011 dirigida por Alexander Sokurov. Ambientada en el siglo XIX, es una interpretación libre de la leyenda de Fausto y de sus respectivas adaptaciones literarias, tanto de Johann Wolfgang von Goethe ( Fausto (Goethe) ), como de Thomas Mann. El diálogo es en alemán.
Fausto es un sabio, venerable y bondadoso anciano que estipula con Mefisto, para librar al pueblo en que habitaba de una horrenda peste que diezmaba sin que quedara familia sana. Con el tiempo Fausto se corrompe, tentado por la juventud eterna y gracias a la influencia y promesas de Mefisto quien termina traicionándolo cruelmente.
