Laurie MacKenzie, was born in Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada, but relocated to Winnipeg at age 19. He was a guitarist for the popular band , The Guess Who . Prior to joining The Guess Who, MacKenzie toured and recorded with Laurie MacKenzie and the Bandits and the Laurie MacKenzie Band.
