Samuel Ealy Johnson Jr. (October 11, 1877 – October 23, 1937) was an American businessman and politician. He was a six-term Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives. He served in the 29th, 30th, 35th, 37th, and 38th Texas Legislatures.
Samuel Ealy Johnson Sr. was born on November 12, 1838, in Wedowee, Alabama. He was the paternal grandfather of Lyndon B. Johnson and was the tenth child of Lucy Webb (Barnett) and Jess Johnson. He was raised a Baptist , but he later became a member of the Christian Church .

In early 1905, Samuel Ealy Johnson, Jr. drafted the Alamo Purchase Bill which included a provision that The Alamo be overseen by Daughters of the Republic of Texas. On January 26, 1905, the Texas State Legislature approved, and Governor S. W. T. Lanham signed, the Alamo Purchase Bill for state funding to preserve the Alamo property.
Samuel Ealy Johnson, Jr. was born in Buda, Texas on 11 October 1877. His parents were Samuel Ealy Johnson Sr. and Eliza (Bunton) Johnson. He succeeded his future father-in-law, Joseph Wilson Baines, as a member of the Texas House of Representatives.
