Fritz Gerald McIntyre (2 September 1958 – 23 August 2021) [2] was a British musician, most famous for his tenure as keyboard player in the original line-up of Simply Red.

Fritz McIntyre has died. McIntyre, who played keyboards with Simply Red, was 62. The Birmingham-born musician was part of the original Simply Red lineup, alongside singer Mick Hucknall, guitarist David Fryman, drummer Chris Joyce, bassist Tony Bowers and brass player Tim Kellett.
Fritz McIntyre is probably most know as the original keyboard player for the British pop band Simply Red. He played in the band between 1985 and 1996.
