Fritz Gerald McIntyre (2 September 1958 – 23 August 2021) was a British musician, most famous for his tenure as keyboard player in the original line-up of Simply Red.

Fritz McIntyre has died. McIntyre, who played keyboards with Simply Red, was 62. The Birmingham-born musician was part of the original Simply Red lineup, alongside singer Mick Hucknall, guitarist David Fryman, drummer Chris Joyce, bassist Tony Bowers and brass player Tim Kellett.
We are deeply shocked and saddened to recieve the news that pianist extraordinaire and original Simply Red member Fritz McIntyre has passed away. He has left this Earth WAY TOO SOON. Deepest sympathies and condolences to his family and friends.
The original line-up of singer Hucknall, bassist Tony Bowers, drummer Chris Joyce, guitarist Dave Fryman, keyboardist/singer Fritz McIntyre and horn player Tim Kellet became regulars on the thriving club circuit and soon caught the attention of record company scouts on the hunt for new talent.
