His great grandson Antoine uses the surname Sallier de la Tour. His son Philibert Sallier de la Tour (1643-1708) was created a Count in 1699 and Marquis de Cordon et Combloux in 1701.

After her father's death her mother married the Italian prime minister Marco Minghetti. Maria married the Prussian diplomat Karl August, Graf Donhoff on 15 May 1867 in Lugano. She called herself Marie by now.
