16 de mar. de 2023 · Tippetts was then known as Julie Driscoll (she would later marry jazz musician and King Crimson collaborator Keith Tippett) released her debut solo album 1969 in 1971 and followed it with Septober Energy, recorded with jazz prog outfit Centipede in 1972. Both albums have also been reissued through Cherry Red.
If there was ever a couple to sum up London 60s cool it was Brian Auger and Julie Driscoll with 'Wheels On Fire' and all that; but there's far more to them as we find out with the re-issue of 'Encore'.

Brian Auger and the Trinity and Driscoll's joint album, Open, billed as Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger and the Trinity, reached number 12 in the UK Albums Chart the same year. [1] The group and Driscoll opened for Led Zeppelin at the Rose Palace in Pasadena, California on 2 and 3 May 1969.
