Henry Brooke (1703 – 10 October 1783) was an Irish novelist and dramatist. He was born and raised at Rantavan House near Mullagh, a village in the far south of County Cavan in Ireland, the son of a clergyman, and he later studied law at Trinity College, Dublin, but embraced literature as a career.

Henry Brooke. Henry is a Jump Jockey based in North Yorkshire. He was crowned Champion Conditional Jockey in 2011/12 and has just had his most successful season in terms of winners in 2022/23. Henry’s biggest winners to date have been the Becher Chase at Aintree in 2015 and the Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle in 2019.
