Raising Demons is a "domestic memoir" by American author Shirley Jackson. It was first published in 1957, as a follow-up to her first memoir, Life Among the Savages. The book was reissued in 2015 by Penguin.
Raising Demons, is Shirley Jackson's sequel to Life Among the Savages, a memoir of her life as a mother to four children and wife to a languid, academic husband. This all happens in rural Vermont back in the 1950s.
