Para celebrar el 25 aniversario de su creación, el cuarteto vocal New York Voices lanza ‘Live with the WDR Big Band Cologne’ (Palmetto/Distritjazz), un disco grabado en directo el 17 de mayo de 2008 en la Filarmónica de Colonia (Alemania) junto con la WDR Big Band de Colonia.
The WDR Big Band in Cologne, Germany is one of the best big bands on the planet and every musician is a stand out. This live performance was captured in 2008 and is a collection of New York Voices old favorites, current in-rotation tunes and a few never recorded and/or new arrangements.
This CD was recorded at Cologne's Kölner Philharmonie in May 2008, when New York Voices were celebrating their 20 years together. The album has only been released in 2013, so the group can celebrate its 25th anniversary, as they are still together, after only minor personnel changes.
