Welcome to Elphinstone College. Dear Students, It's a matter of great privilege for me to share my thoughts and feelings with you. Our college has History of more than 150 years. It has produced national leaders and played very important role in the building of Nation.
Elphinstone College is one of the constituent colleges of Dr. Homi Bhabha State University, a state cluster university. Established in 1823, it is one of the oldest colleges in Mumbai. It played a major role in shaping and developing the educational landscape of the city.

College runs an unaided course in B.Sc. Information technology course to provide a competitive edge to the young and aspiring graduates. This course covers subjects as diverse as programming, algorithms, mathematics, digital electronics, microprocessors, management practices, Web designing, etc. The total number of seats is 60 for each year.
The College is known for offering various undergraduate programmes in Arts, Commerce, as well as Science streams such as B.A, B.Sc, B.Com etc. Apart from the aided courses, the Elphinstone College also offers self financed courses in the disciplines of Management and Technology.

District: Mumbai City. State: Maharashtra. Elphinstone College was established in honourof Mountstuart Elphinstone, the Governor of Bombay (1819 – 1827) who is credited with initiating higher education in the city. The College began with the establishment of the Elphinstone Professorships.
