We the Living is a two-part 1942 Italian romantic war drama film, based on Ayn Rand's 1936 novel of the same name. It was originally released as two films, Noi vivi (literally "We Live") and Addio Kira ("Goodbye Kira").
We the Living - the 80th Anniversary Restoration is the first-ever full restoration of this film classic. Producer Duncan Scott devoted two-and-a-half years to removing dust, scratches, and other flaws accumulated in the 80 years since the movie was produced.
Several decades ago Emmy Award winning filmmaker, Duncan Scott, worked with Ayn Rand on the restoration of the 1942 lost film classic, We the Living.

We the Living is the debut novel of the Russian American novelist Ayn Rand. It is a story of life in post-revolutionary Russia and was Rand's first statement against communism. Rand observes in the foreword that We the Living was the closest she would ever come to writing an autobiography.
