Patrick Martin Cusack (born 2 July 1954), known by the stage name Pete Briquette, is an Irish bassist, record producer and composer. He is a member of the Boomtown Rats and has also played in Bob Geldof's band.

PETE BRIQUETTE. Pete is a member of the Boomtown Rats and the Bob Geldof band. He was born in Ballyjamesduff Co. Cavan Ireland. His name refers to his upbringing in Ireland where "peat briquettes" were burned for heat instead of coal. He is the bassist, synthesizerist, backing vocalist, occasional songwriter and currently the producer of the band.
Bob Geldof, Gary Roberts, Pete Briquette, and Simon Crowe reunited as The Boomtown Rats in 2013, joined by Alan Dunn (longtime member of Geldof's band) on keyboards and Darren Beale (who played with Roberts & Crowe in The Rats) on guitar.
From those whispers, a thousand incantations amalgamating in the airwaves above and the puckered lips of Ireland's youth, that legend entered the hearts and souls of six human beings; Bob Geldof, Pete Briquette, Garry Roberts, Simon Crowe, Johnnie Fingers and Gerry Cott.
