Thomas Henry Haines (August 9, 1933 - December 17, 2023) was an American author, social activist, biochemist and academic. He was a professor of chemistry at City College of New York and of Biochemistry at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education.

Thomas Henry Haines, a noted specialist in the study of lipids and biological membranes, is a Visiting Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Rockefeller University and Professor Emeritus of Chemistry and Biochemistry of City College of the City University of New York.

18 de dic. de 2023 · Thomas H. Haines, a biochemist who co-founded the City University of New York Medical School, died at home Sunday December 17, 2023. The cause of death was Alzheimer’s Disease. He is survived by his wife, Mary “Polly” Cleveland, his daughter, Avril Haines, and her husband, David Davighi.
