St. Michael’s Choir School is a unique collaboration between the Archdiocese of Toronto and the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB). With an enrollment of 280 boys, the school offers a complete curriculum of academic studies for Grades 3 to 12, including French immersion, language, social sciences, mathematics, and science.

St. Michael’s Choir School provides sacred music of the highest calibre to St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica and the Archdiocese of Toronto. With a program of in-depth training, students acquire advanced musical skills. The school also serves the broader community through concerts, touring and recordings.
1926 | Cathedral Sanctuary Choir is founded by Monsignor Ronan. 1937 | An elementary school is established for the cathedral choirboys, and the Cathedral Schola Cantorum becomes known as St. Michael’s Choir School. 1942 | Grades Nine and Ten are added. 1950 | Opening of the new Choir School building at 66 Bond Street.
