22 de mar. de 2023 · The tournament is named in memory of Gyalyum Chenmo, who was the mother of Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama. She passed away on January 12, 1981, and the first GCMGC football tournament was held in October of that year at the Tibetan Children’s Villages (TCV).

12 de jun. de 2023 · Dharamshala – The 28th Gyalyum Chenmo Memorial (GCM) Gold Cup was held at the Upper TCV School in Dharamshala. 16 Tibetan teams from Europe, Australia and India took part in the tournament. The final match took place between Dhondupling FC and Dhasa United on June 11, 2023.
