Overview. A new series of dramas based on the stories of Miss Marple debuted on ITV in the UK in 2004, starring Geraldine McEwan in the title role. McEwan played the detective for three series, with Julia McKenzie taking on the mantle in 2009 for series four, five and six.
Miss Marple decides to travel to the little village of Wychwood after a woman she randomly met on a train dies in mysterious circumstances. The woman told her she suspected that two accidental deaths in Wychwood were, in fact, murder, and her own death seems to confirm this.
