LOON-HEINSBERG, Maria, Countess of (born 20 May 1424 – died Breda, 20 April 1502), testatrix. Daughter of Johan II, Count of Loon, Lord of Heinsberg (died 1438), and Anna, Countess of Solms-Braunfels (died 1433).
Biography. Maria gravin van Loon Heinsberg (geb. 20-5-1424 – gest. Breda 20-4-1502), erflaatster. Daughter of Johan II, graaf van Loon, heer van Heinsberg (d. 1438) and Anna gravin van Solms-Braunfels (d. 1433).
Maria van Loon Heinsberg was born on 20 May 1424, in Kreis Heinsberg, Rhineland, Prussia, German Empire as the daughter of Johann der Streitbare von Loon-Heinsberg, Sponheimer II and N Konkubine. She married Graaf Johann von Nassau Dillenburg IV van Oranje on 7 February 1440, in Diest, Flemish Brabant, Belgium.
He is a descendent of a minor German Countess, Maria of Loon-Heinsberg (1426-1502). Countess Maria was the daughter of Count Johann I of Loon-Heinsberg and Countess Margaret of Solms-Braunfels. She married Count Engelbert I of Nassau and they had 6 children including Count Johann IV of Nassau Vianden-Dietz.
