A strange and brutally villainous turn from Louis Wolheim as a steward with a psychotic hatred of the rich and privileged makes this early-talkie disaster film a uniquely entertaining one.
In this high-seas adventure, a ship's steward goes 'round the bend, mutinies, throws the captain into the briny, and turns into an utter tyrant. He is protected by the simple-minded, enormously strong cook.
