  4. He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Cardigan on the 16 July, 1703. He married Elizabeth Bruce on the 15 May, 1707, at St. Martin in the Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, England. He held the office of the Master of Buckhounds, between 1712 and 1715.
