American Princes is an indie rock band from Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. The band started in 2003 when David Slade, then-bassist John Beachboard and drummer Matthew Quin moved to Little Rock from New York City.
Playing frantic old-school-power-pop influenced indie rock with just a tint of 1980s New Wave attitude, American Princes did a reverse hipster move in the mid-'00s, meeting in Brooklyn, but relocating to Little Rock, Arkansas, using the saved rent to fuel a fuller touring and recording schedule.
