Elizabeth "Bessie" Rockefeller (August 23, 1866 – November 14, 1906) was the eldest child of Standard Oil co-founder John Davison Rockefeller (1839–1937) and school teacher Laura Celestia "Cettie" Spelman (1839–1915).
Biography. Elizabeth Rockefeller, daughter of John Rockefeller and Laura Spelman, was born in 1866 [1] in Ohio. She lived with them and her younger sister Alice in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, in 1870. [2] Elizabeth, daughter of John D. Rockefeller, married Charles A. Strong on 23 March 1889 in New York. [3] [4] Bessie and Charles applied for a passport.
