Sir Anthony Ughtred or Oughtred, Knight banneret [4] [5] ( c. 1478 – 6 October 1534 [2]) was an English soldier and military administrator during the reigns of Henry VII and Henry VIII. Ughtred fought in Ireland, the Anglo Scottish border and both on land and at sea in France.
By July 1530 [15] she had married Sir Anthony Ughtred, Governor of Jersey, who died in 1534. She then married Gregory Cromwell, 1st Baron Cromwell, the son of Thomas Cromwell, chief minister to Henry VIII in 1537; Gregory died in 1551.

They had a son, Henry (c. 1533) and a daughter born after Sir Anthony died in the fall or winter of 1534. She was named Margery (c.1535). It is unclear what happened to her children, Henry and Margery after Sir Anthony died.

Sir Anthony Ughtred, born in about 1478, was Governor of Berwick and served in the Scottish wars. He was appointed Governor of Jersey in 1532 and died two years later and was buried, with Sir Thomas Ovray, in the crypt of St George's Chapel, Mont Orgueil .
