  1. Kohei Murakoso (村社 講平, Murakoso Kōhei, August 29, 1905 – July 8, 1998) was a Japanese runner. He competed at the 1936 Olympics in the 5000 metres and 10,000 metres events and finished fourth on both occasions.

  3. 8 de jul. de 1998 · Biography. Kohei Murakoso started long-distance running after winning a road race while he attended Miyazaki High School. He then worked at the local library but then studied law at the Chuo university. He also continued his training and was selected for the 1936 Berlin Olympics four years later.

  4. 31 de jul. de 2020 · Kohei Murakoso, who finished fourth in both the 10,000- and 5,000-meter events at Berlin, won the 5,000-meter event in Tokyo. Baseball, which was still in its early years as a professional sport in Japan, turned out to be one of the most popular events at the games.

  7. The only runner to stay with them was Japan’s Kohei Murakoso, who led the year lists going into the Olympics. At the bell, Murakoso was dropped and the Finns contested the medals amongst themselves, with Salminen winning the gold. It remains thru 2004 the only medal sweep in this event.
